Normal people don’t know what “Cosmos” is, nor “IBC”, “EVM”, “SDKs”, “bridging”; “Tendermint” or the like. What they do know is:
- apps
- brand
- usability
- incentives
- cost
etc..
Users shouldn’t need to know the specific elements of a particular stack in order to understand how to use an app, and why it’s useful / beneficial. They should use certain chains because they work and solve a particular need. Noble has long missed a programmability layer due to lack of confidence in the maintainability of a Cosmos EVM. This changes with the launch of the Noble AppLayer which will bring smart contracts and thousands of txs per second which will (finally) unlock a host of new features that will enable new use cases (apps) to flourish on Noble.

When I posted this on 6th Oct there was $345m USDC in Cosmos (down from $521m in Dec 2024).
Today there is $279m.
Let that sink in.
